070 - Knock Shrine

Knock Shrine is an international place of pilgrimage and prayer where over one and a half million people make their way every year. The story of Knock began on 21 August 1879 when fifteen local people witnessed a miraculous apparition on the gable wall of the parish church. There were many reports of cures following the apparition and all who visit Knock like to touch the original stone where Our Lady appeared.
