Donegal County Museum, based in part of the old Letterkenny Workhouse, houses both temporary and permanent exhibitions which tell the story of Donegal from the Stone Age to the Twentieth Century.

Lissadell House & Gardens are the birthplace of Countess Markievicz, one of the leaders of the 1916 Rising and first woman elected to the House of Commons. She was often visited by one of Ireland's most famous poets,W.B. Yeats. The house is recently restored with its large gardens reopened, together with Tearooms and Shop.
